Question by micci_micci33: Can men get BV and what medication is used to cure it in men?
Everytime my boyfriend and I have sex I get BV 1-2 days later and end up going to my clinic. I get treated with metronidazole for a week and symptoms go away. But this happens every single time my boyfriend and I have sex and it’s getting annoying. He went to get checked but they asked if he had any symptoms and said he didn’t so they cant give him medication. What kind of medication can he get to get this treated because I’m scared to have sex now. I don’t know what to do..I feel like these clinicians dont know S**!

I would make sure it’s really BV and not some other infection. BV usually happens with a new partner, since it’s the imbalance of your natural bacterial flora that causes it. It does have a high rate of recurrence, but EVERY time? Condoms would probably help, too.
